Post-doctoral researcher; Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, Italy. 2010-2015

Visiting Scholar; Dr Baylin’s Lab, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Oncology - Baltimore, USA. June-December 2008

Visiting Scholar; Dr Manel Esteller’s Lab, the Cancer Epigenetics at Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO), Madrid, Spain. June-July 2006

Dr Pasini’s main research interests focus on epigenetic mechanisms of regulation of gene expression in normal and diseased cells, including gene promoter methylation profile in cancers and how epigenetic agents could modify chromatin structure and DNA methylation and potentially been used as anticancer agents, or as regulators of phenotypic transitions such EMT or preventing fibroblast-to-myofibroblast differentiation in pulmonary fibrosis.

In the last years she is applying her experience in studying gene expression in cells cultured under dynamic conditions onboard of biocompatible 3D scaffolds, to investigate phenotype commitment in both normal and cancer cells.
